Blessed Day Doodles Hallmark Photo Shoot

We were thrilled to be able to have our puppies participate in a photo shoot at Hallmark Cards. They wanted to do a “dog family in bed together” shoot so they needed a litter of puppies along with the mom and dad. Kylie and Salvy had 3 puppies on Nov 29th. Now at 7 weeks old they’re all over the place but it was a lot of fun and they took hundreds of pictures. Thanks to Photoshop they should be able to put a final product together. We hope to hear from them in a few months regarding the final product!

They worked with each dog/puppy individually as to minimize distraction. Kylie was amazing! She was motivated by the treats and was very chill, they got lots of good shots of her. Salvy on the other hand was a bit of a pill! He isn’t one to sit still for long but with patience and a few breaks between attempts they got some pics of him. The puppies were great! They were so funny and entertained everyone. They were intrigued by the sound of the camera which they kept hearing from overhead! The stage ladies were amazing at getting their attention. They used a feather on the end of a stick to get them to look in certain directions, I’m going to steal that trick for my own photo session with the pups!

While they were taking pics of Salvy and Kylie the assistants took the puppies out to a long hallway to play in hopes of wearing them out before their pictures. Reesie Rey wanted to be held the entire time, not surprisingly, and there was no shortage of people to oblige her. Phasma played and played and pulled the potty pad around lol! Kylo played but enjoyed some snuggles too. They were pretty popular.

I was impressed with their set up and preparation for the puppies! They had a puppy play pen set up so they had a carpeted area to lay on and potty pads to pee on so everyone stayed nice and clean for the pictures.

We should know in a couple months what capacity the photos will be used in. They could be cards, stationary, stickers, whatever! We can’t wait to see the final product! Look for a cute little bed with doodles in it coming to a card store near you!

VIDEO: Rose’s F1B Mini Goldendoodle Puppies at 6 weeks old

Rose’s f1b mini goldendoodle puppies (the Kennedy litter) were born on Nov 22, 2013, the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination so we named the puppies after the Kennedy’s: Jack, Jackie, John Jr, Caroline, Bobby, and Ethel. They are such sweeties, so playful and loving. They LOVE shoes and anything they can chew on and explore. Puppy selection for this litter will begin this weekend, Jan 11-12!

Reputable Australian Labradoodle and Goldendoodle Breeder for the Midwest

Blessed Day Doodles is a family owned, in home breeder of mini and medium Australian Labradoodle Puppies and F1B Mini Goldendoodle Puppies. We are located in Harrisonville, Missouri (about 30 miles outside of Kansas City) and have been breeding doodles since 2005. Our dogs live with us and our three children in our home, whelp puppies in our dining room and bedroom, go on vacation with us in our 5th wheel camper, go for car rides and visit our grandparents in nursing homes. Our first priority for our dogs is that they are part of our family and receive daily love and attention. A few of our dogs live with amazing and carefully chosen guardian families so they can be part of a forever family and receive the love and attention every dog deserves.

At Blessed Day Doodles we:

♥ Select parents from health tested lines who have also passed health testing.
♥ Make temperament a top priority in our parent dogs and the quality temperaments are passed on to their puppies.
♥ Whelp and raise our puppies in our home, NO KENNEL.
Bella Puppies♥ Make our puppies/dogs health, nutrition, and happiness a top priority.
♥ Strive to produce non-shedding, allergy friendly Australian Labradoodles and Mini Goldendoodles.
♥ Socialize and handle our puppies from birth and our three young children are an integral part of this daily process.
♥ Thank God for the creatures he has created for us to enjoy and are thankful for the blessing our dogs and puppies are to us every day!

The Australian Labradoodle is a hybrid between the poodle, labrador retriever, Irish water dog, curly coated retriever, and American and English cocker spaniel. The miniature goldendoodle is a hybrid between the poodle and golden retriever. They possess what is known as hybrid vigor, making them healthier than any of their parent breeds and reducing the risk of many breed specific diseases by adding differing breed genetics. We do health testing on our breeding dogs to prevent breeding unhealthy parents who would produce unhealthy puppies. We are more than happy to share the health test results of our dogs. We screen for hips, elbows, cardiac, and patella via OFA, eyes via PRA and CERF, and vWD via DNA or parentage.

Both labradoodles and goldendoodles are incredibly social and lovable. They love people, children and adults alike, as well as other animals. It would be a punishment to leave a doodle alone for long periods of time without human contact. We also encourage you to consider that dogs, like humans, are happiest with a mate, so in their case…another dog.  For those times when you are gone longer than you’d like, it would be best for you to have two dogs so they can keep one another company, as well as play together and romp when you are home.  We humans are great company but dogs are happiest with another canine companion. Our labradoodle puppies and goldendoodle puppies are intelligent, easily trainable, healthy, even tempered, loving, very little to no shedding, and would make the perfect furry family member.

VIDEO: Puppies Playing Outside for the First Time

The puppies have had their first vaccination and it’s had time to get into their system so they got to play outside this weekend!! They had so much fun romping in the grass and running around.

VIDEO: Kayden’s Mini Goldendoodles at 7.5 weeks

Kayden’s mini goldendoodles, Zane, Zayden, and Zeva are still available. They’re so stinkin’ cute and full of personality. Zelda has been adopted by Dawn and Wes and Zadie has been adopted by Janna and Grayson. Kylie (formerly Zola) will be joining a wonderful guardian home where we hope to add her to our breeding program in a couple years if she passes health testing. We know they’ll all be so loved in their new homes and we look forward to updates from their families and the joy they bring them. Visit the Goldendoodle Puppies page for more info on Zane, Zayden, and Zeva’s temperament info. They’ve been raised with our 2, 4, and 7 yr olds from birth so they’ve been well socialized and handled and are used to children, adults, and other dogs.

VIDEO: Tessa’s Australian Labradoodle Puppies at 6.5 weeks – Juniper, Maple, Falan, & Bear

Tessa’s puppies are active and bouncing little fluff-balls. They’re so funny, just little clowns, running, playing and definitely finding their voices! I love how their temperaments are developing. Tessa has the most fabulous temperament and is such a nurturing mom. She passes her laid back, intelligent, temperament on to her puppies. One of Tessa’s previous puppies is training to be a therapy dog. We have high hopes for Tessa’s puppies!
